tedthetrumpet – aka Dr Edward ‘Teddy’ Edwards – is the fictional alter-ego of Scottish musician J Simon van der Walt. Originally a bit-part in the children’s television show ‘Balamory’, the ‘ted’ character has morphed into a vehicle for work that ranges from electro-junk improvisation to livecoding, algorave, and, in general, mucking about with technology.
